Regular Season Round 5: Energa Torun - MKK Siedlce 86-64

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked MKK Siedlce (2-2) was smashed on the road by ninth ranked Energa Torun (2-3) 86-64. The game was mostly controlled by Energa Torun. MKK Siedlce was better in second period 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Energa Torun players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Australian guard Lauren Mansfield (170-89, college: Iowa St., agency: ProDep Management) who scored 19 points and 8 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Lithuanian Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Coach Algirdas Paulauskas's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Naturalized Ukrainian forward Oksana Mollov (188-88) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and Magdalena Parysek (185-89) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Four MKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. Energa Torun moved-up to eighth place. MKK Siedlce at the other side keeps the seventh position with two games lost. Energa Torun's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Widzew (#13) in Lodz which should be theoretically another easy game.
