No shocking result in a game when leader Gravelines (5-0) beat at home 13th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (1-4) 66-51 on Monday. Matthias Flosse (209-98) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Pierre Hannequin (190-98) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Gravelines' coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Thibault Daval-Braquet (210-97) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Emile Chassaigne (192-99) added 10 points in the effort for Pau-Lacq-Orthez. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gravelines. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cholet. Loser Pau-Lacq-Orthez keeps the thirteenth place with four games lost. Gravelines will face ES Chalonnais (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against Lyon-Villeurbanne (#9) and hope to win that game.
