Regular Season Round 12: Hanoi B. - Can Tho CF 75-77

The most exciting game of round 12 in the VBA took place in Hanoi. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked Hanoi B. (6-6) to second ranked Can Tho CF (8-4) 77-75 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hanoi B.. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hanoi B. won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St., agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks and swingman Tan Dinh-Duy (192-95) who added 18 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Can Tho CF players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Jason Carter (206-92, college: Texas Southern, agency: Haylett Sports) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 21 rebounds and Dutch point guard Vincent Nguyen (178-95) scored 5 points and 10 assists. Can Tho CF have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Hanoi B. at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Can Tho CF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hanoi B. will play on the road against Hochiminh CW (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
