A very interesting game took place in Dik El Mehdi. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of Louaize (0-1) to Champville (1-0) 71-68 on Tuesday evening. Louaize was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 18-14 charge of Champville, which allowed them to win the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The former international forward Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) nailed 27 points and 7 assists for the winning side and American guard Brandon Young (193-91, college: De Paul, agency: Two Points) accounted for 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Champville players scored in double figures. American forward Brandon Mobley (206-91, college: Seton Hall, agency: HMS) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St.) added 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Louaize in the defeat. Champville's next round opponent will be Byblos on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Louaize will play against Al Moutahed (#9) and hope to win that game.
