Regular Season Round 3: King - AZS Koszalin 100-77

Date: October 18, 2017
There was no surprise in Szczecin where AZS Koszalin (0-3) was crushed by Wilki Morskie (3-2) 100-77 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Wilki Morskie. AZS Koszalin was better in third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wilki Morskie shot 62.9 percent from the field. Wilki Morskie outrebounded AZS Koszalin 38-18 including a 29-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Wilki Morskie especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international swingman Pawel Kikowski (193-86) who scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Russian center Andrey Desiatnikov (221-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Wilki Morskie players scored in double figures. Wilki Morskie's coach Mindaugas Budzinauskas felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Kacper Mlynarski (202-92) who recorded 14 points and the former international swingman Jakub Dloniak (194-83, agency: Promotex) added 12 points respectively. Wilki Morskie will face Miasto Szkla (#14) in Krosno in the next round which should be another easy win for them. AZS Koszalin will play at home against Trefl and hopes to get finally their first victory.
