Regular Season Round 5: SKK Siedlce - GKS Tychy 90-97

Bottom-ranked SKK Siedlce (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked GKS Tychy (4-1) 97-90. They made 29-of-33 charity shots (87.9 percent) during the game. Strangely SKK Siedlce outrebounded GKS Tychy 39-26 including 24 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by SKK Siedlce helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 7 assists. Swingman Filip Malgorzaciak (192-93) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Bartosz Wrobel (190-95, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Pawel Lewandowski (186-83, agency: Promotex) added 14 points and 6 assists in the effort for SKK Siedlce. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. SKK Siedlce's coach Michal Spychala let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. GKS Tychy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Polonia Leszno. SKK Siedlce lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. GKS Tychy will have a break next round. SKK Siedlce will play on the road against Polonia Leszno (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
