Very important is a road loss of third ranked Saigon Heat (6-4) against sixth ranked Danang Dragons (2-9) on Thursday night. Visiting Saigon Heat was defeated by Danang Dragons in Danang 82-72. The game was mostly controlled by Danang Dragons. Saigon Heat was better in fourth quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by Canadian center Rudolphe Joly (208-92, college: Sheridan JC) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international swingman Tien Thinh-Tran (191-92) supported him with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Four Danang Dragons players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds by American center Darius Lewis (211-94, college: Duquesne) did not help to save the game for Saigon Heat. His fellow American import David Arnold (188, college: Mont.St.-Billings) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 2-9 record. Saigon Heat at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Danang Dragons will again play against higher ranked Saigon Heat (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saigon Heat will have a break next round.
