Regular Season Round 4: Valga - TLU/Kalev 99-77

The game between Top Four teams took place in Valga. Top-ranked host Valga (3-0) smashed 4th ranked TLU/Kalev (1-3) 99-77. The game was mostly controlled by Valga. TLU/Kalev managed to win second period 29-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valga had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. At the losing side the former international point guard Kristo Saage (186-85) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and forward Janis Vahter (196-86) scored 16 points and 4 assists. TLU/Kalev's coach Raido Roos gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Valga have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. TLU/Kalev lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Parnu. Valga are looking forward to face league's leader Kalev/Cramo in Tallinn in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TLU/Kalev's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tallinn to the arena TTU.
