Regular Season Round 4: Boras - Sodertalje 65-75

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Boras Basket (3-1) at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Sodertalje Kings (3-0) 75-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Boras Basket. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Sodertalje Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Boras Basket's 26. They outrebounded Boras Basket 36-24 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sodertalje Kings brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The winners were led by international Adam Ramstedt (208-95) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field) and international center Nicholas Spires (210-94) supported him with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by American Jyles Smith (209-92, college: Savannah St.) did not help to save the game for Boras Basket. International swingman Fredrik Andersson (202-93) added 18 points for lost side. Sodertalje Kings have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Jamtland. Boras Basket at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with BC Lulea. Sodertalje Kings will play against Norrkoping Dolphins (#5) at home in the next round. Boras Basket will play against BC Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
