Regular Season Round 2: Sagesse - Homenetmen 67-79

We should not miss anothera road victory of Homenetmen (2-0) over Sagesse (1-1) 79-67. The game was mostly controlled by Homenetmen. Sagesse was better in third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Homenetmen players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) who scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Egyptian power forward Ahmad Ismail (205-76) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. The former international Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Dewayne Jackson (203-90, college: Morgan St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) added 24 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Sagesse's coach Fuad Abou Chakra rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Homenetmen will have a break next round. Sagesse's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena Hoops Club.
