Regular Season Round 2: Evreux - Blois 72-81

Very expected game when ALM Evreux (0-2) lost at home to ADA Blois (2-0) 81-72 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-17. But ALM Evreux won second period 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for ADA Blois especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Naturalized Belgian point guard Charly Pontens (190-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 assists. Mali center Drissa Ballo (208-95) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five ADA Blois players scored in double figures. ADA Blois' coach Mickael Hay used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Caleb Walker (194-89, college: Nebraska) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Steeve Ho-You-Fat (202-88) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for ALM Evreux. ADA Blois will face SPO Rouen (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. ALM Evreux will play against STB Le Havre and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
