Regular Season Round 2: Saint-Chamond - Lille 69-71

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Saint Chamond (1-1) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by Lille Metropole (2-0) 71-69. Saint Chamond was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Spanish guard Marcos Suka-Umu (192-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 4 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Cory Remekun (203-91, college: St.Louis, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Lille Metropole's coach Jean-Marc Dupraz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Juwan Staten (185-92, college: W.Virginia, agency: Inception Sports) replied with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Jonathan Hoyaux (195-88) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Saint Chamond. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lille Metropole is looking forward to face Poitiers (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
