Regular Season Round 8: Ninane - Ieper 65-68

The most exciting game of round 8 in the Top Division I took place in Ninane. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Ninane (4-4) to eighth ranked Ieper (4-3) 68-65 in the game for the sixth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ninane. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Robin Mestdagh (195-88, college: E.Kentucky) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Robin Spaens (180-92) who added 11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Ieper players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Xavier Collette (185-85) responded with 15 points and 5 assists and forward Jordan Kaluanga (190-95, college: Ozarks) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Ieper moved-up to sixth place. Ninane at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Ieper are looking forward to face Giants B (#13) in Antwerp in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ninane will play on the road against the league's second-placed Waregem (#2) and is hoping to win this game.
