Very expected game when 11th ranked Trefl II Sopot (2-4) was crushed at home by top-ranked Asseco II (5-0) 84-57 on Saturday. Asseco II forced 23 Trefl II Sopot turnovers. Swingman Bartosz Jankowski (193-96) scored 27 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Michal Kolodziej (202-97, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Maciej Zmudzki (206-97) with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and center Jakub Motylewski (210-95) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Asseco II have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A with 5-0 record having just one point less than leader Syntex Ksiezak. Loser Trefl II Sopot dropped to the tenth place with four games lost. Asseco II will face Olsztyn (#14) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Trefl II Sopot will play against AZS UMK Torun (#6) and hope to win that game.
