Regular Season Round 3: Koroivos - Kolossos HH 79-76

The biggest surprise of round 3 in A1 took place in Koroivos where host Koroivos (2-1) edged Kolossos HH (2-1) 79-76 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kolossos HH won third quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Marcus Posley (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) who scored 26 points. Guard Quenton DeCosey (196-93, college: Temple) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Malcolm Griffin (193-91, college: Fresno Pacific, agency: Higher Vision Sports) who recorded 17 points and 7 assists and center Marvin Jones (213-93, college: Texas Southern) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Four Kolossos HH players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kolossos HH will play next round against AEK trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Koroivos will try to continue on its current victory against Panionios in Athens.
