Regular Season Round 6: Amicale - Heffingen 118-55

The game with biggest result difference took place in Steinsel. Local Amicale (4-2) outscored 10th ranked Heffingen (1-5) 118-55 on Saturday night. Amicale dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Heffingen's 38 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Heffingen 56-27 including a 46-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Amicale shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Heffingen's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Shavon Coleman (196-92, college: LSU, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 23 rebounds. International guard Bob Melcher (189-94) chipped in 27 points and 8 assists. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Ryan Logan (201-94, college: Stonehill) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Matt Bingaya (193-94, college: Fairmont St., agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Heffingen's coach Alexandre Pires gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Etzella and T71. Heffingen lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Amicale will face Contern (#7) in Luxembourg in the next round where they are favorite. Heffingen will play on the road against the league's second-placed Etzella in Ettelbruck and hope to win that game.
