Undefeated leader Asker Aliens delivered the seventh consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Gimle BBK (4-4) 90-68 in Bergen. The game without a history. Asker Aliens led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Asker Aliens outrebounded Gimle BBK 41-20 including a 35-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for guard Stian Berg (187-91, college: Nova SE, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) helped adding 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Berg is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Asker Aliens' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Lorenzo Cugini (198-93, college: High Point) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Asker Aliens and four Gimle BBK players scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Asker Aliens. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Loser Gimle BBK dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Ammerud Bskt. Asker Aliens will meet at home Fyllingen BBK (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Gimle BBK will play against Ammerud Bskt in Oslo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
