Very important is a road loss of second ranked HLA Alicante (3-1) against fifteenth ranked Cambados (1-3) on Saturday night. Visiting HLA Alicante was defeated by Cambados in a tough game in Cambados 87-94. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of HLA Alicante. It was a very good performance for British forward Will Saunders (201-91, college: Charleston So.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Norwegian forward Karamo Jawara (203-91, college: N.C.Central) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Pedro Rivero (186-79) replied with 16 points and point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) added 18 points in the effort for HLA Alicante. Cambados left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Real Canoe. HLA Alicante at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Cambados' next round opponent will be higher ranked Agustinos-Leclerc (#9) in Leon and it may be quite challenging game. HLA Alicante will play at home against Moron (#5) and hope to win that game.
