Regular Season Round 6: Rzeszow - Cracovia 79-62

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Rzeszow and bottom-ranked Cracovia had identical 0-5 record. This time Rzeszow used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Krakow 79-62 on Saturday night. Rzeszow dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Cracovia's 30. Rzeszow forced 19 Cracovia turnovers. Guard Krzysztof Banys (185-84) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Mikolaj Sowa (198-85) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Rzeszow players scored in double figures. Rzeszow's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Rzeszow (1-5) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place in Group C. It was Cracovia's sixth loss in a row. Cracovia at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with six games lost. Rzeszow will face higher ranked Rybnik (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cracovia will play against Przemysl and hopes to get finally their first victory.
