Regular Season Round 5: Huddinge - RIG Mark 55-88

Date: October 21, 2017
An interesting game where RIG Mark (#2) crushed host Huddinge (#5) with 33-point difference 88-55 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-55. RIG Mark forced 29 Huddinge turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Point guard Tim Carlsten (183-0) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard John Thornblom (194-0) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four RIG Mark players scored in double figures. Bosnian Mak Bajic (-97) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Jamaal Sakariya (-93) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. RIG Mark have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 3-1 record behind leader KFUM Blackeberg, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Huddinge dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with BG Lulea. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
