Everything could happen in San Cristobal at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Adelantados and 8th ranked Adareva had identical 1-2 record. This time Adelantados used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Laguna 85-52 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Adelantados led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Adelantados outrebounded Adareva 50-38 including 19 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Adelantados made 7 blocks. Quite impressive performance for American forward Korinne Campbell (184-88, college: W.Virginia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds. The other American import forward Caira Washington (188-95, college: G.Washington) contributed with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American forward TyDesheaia Pool (185, college: SE Louisiana) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ainara Ramasco (172-89) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Adareva. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Adelantados (2-2) moved-up to sixth place in Group B, which they share with Alcobendas and Picken Claret. Loser Adareva dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Adelantados will face Distrito Olimpico (#10) in Madrid in the next round. Adareva will play at home against Alcobendas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
