Regular Season Round 7: Fukushima - Bambitious Nara 77-67
Date: October 21, 2017
Rather predictable result when second ranked Fukushima (5-2) won against at home 5th ranked Bambitious Nara (1-6) 77-67 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 49-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Shinya Murakami (172-91) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: N.Mexico St.) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and American power forward Gary Hamilton (208-84, college: Miami, FL, agency: Inception Sports) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Bambitious Nara. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Fukushima. They used an opportunity after Shinshu BW lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Bambitious Nara lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Fukushima will face again Bambitious Nara (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
