Regular Season Round 6: Lubin - Gimbasket WRC 60-80

Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Gimbasket WRC (3-3) outscored on the road 13th ranked Lubin (1-5) 80-60 on Saturday. Gimbasket WRC shot 30 for 48 from the free-throw line, while Lubin only scored eleven points from the stripe. They outrebounded Lubin 41-28 including 33 on the defensive glass. Lubin was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Michal Pietrzak (199-93) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Rafal Chwastyk (188-99) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Gimbasket WRC players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Croatian guard Ivan Maric (193-86) with 16 points and guard Milosz Olejniczak (183-86) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gimbasket WRC moved-up to eighth place in Group D. Newly promoted Lubin dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Gimbasket WRC will face Sudety (#9) in Jelenia Gora in the next round. Lubin will play on the road against the league's leader Slask 2 Wroclaw where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
