Regular Season Round 4: Bologna - Campobasso 74-40

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Campobasso (2-2) was crushed on the road by top-ranked Bologna (4-0) 74-40 on Saturday. Bologna dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Campobasso's 20. Bologna forced 24 Campobasso turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including 28 on the defensive glass. The former international point guard Raelin DAlie (168-87, college: Wisconsin, agency: LBM Management) fired 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Elisabetta Tassinari (175-94) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Bologna players scored in double figures. Bologna's coach Giancarlo Giroldi felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Giulia Ciavarella (183-97) produced 15 points and center Lucia Di-Costanzo (184-92) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bologna maintains first position in A2 with 4-0 record. Newly promoted Campobasso dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Bologna will face Faenza (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Campobasso will play against Empoli and hope to win that game.
