Regular Season Round 4: Tokyo HT - Saitama Bron. 84-83

A very close game took place in Tokyo (derby !!!) between Tokyo HT and Saitama Broncos. First ranked Tokyo HT (6-2) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers Saitama Broncos (5-3). Tokyo HT managed to escape with a 1-point win 84-83 in the fight for the first place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Saitama Broncos. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Tokyo HT looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Edward Morris (204-84, college: Pittsburg St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and the other American import power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Even 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) did not help to save the game for Saitama Broncos. Point guard Nishi Yutaro (176-92) added 21 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for lost side. Four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Tokyo HT maintains first position with 6-2 record. Loser Saitama Broncos dropped to the second place with three games lost.
