Regular Season Round 3: AEK - Cretan Kings 81-74

AEK used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Rethymno 81-74 on Saturday night. Cretan Kings was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 25-13 charge of AEK, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for naturalized Serbian Dusan Sakota (210-86, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. AEK's coach Sotiris Manolopoulos used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Travis Daniels (202-92, college: Mississippi St.) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import guard Hugh Robertson (195-89, college: S.Florida) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AEK will meet Kolossos HH (#6) in the next round. Cretan Kings will play against Lavrio and hope to win that game.
