There was a minor upset in Boulogne-sur-Mer where 11th ranked Brissac-Aubance (2-3) was edged by thirteenth ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (2-3) 77-74 on Saturday. American point guard Diante Watkins (174-90, college: Robert Morris) stepped up and scored 23 points and 9 assists for the winners and American-British guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. SO Maritime Boulogne's coach Frederic Brouillaud used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Senegalese center Moise Diame (206-86) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Aurelien Rigaux (176-88) scored 13 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Brissac-Aubance players scored in double figures. SO Maritime Boulogne moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Brissac-Aubance and GET Vosges. Brissac-Aubance lost their third game in a row. SO Maritime Boulogne will face higher ranked Vendee Challans (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
