Regular Season Round 3: Lavrio - Aris 70-71

A very close game took place in Lavrio between Aris and Lavrio. Aris (2-1) got a very close victory on the road over Lavrio (1-2). Aris managed to escape with a 1-point win 71-70 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 22-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Kwame Vaughn (190-90, college: CS Fullerton) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points. The former international point guard Ioannis Athineou (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 11 points. The best for the losing side was center Dimitrios Kaklamanakis (205-94) with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American guard McKenzie Moore (198-92, college: UTEP) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Aris will meet at home Olympiacos (#4) in the next round. Lavrio will play against Cretan Kings (#9) in Rethymno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
