Regular Season Round 6: Chalon - Gravelines 74-75
Date: October 21, 2017
Bottom-ranked Chalon/Saor (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 75-74 loss to seventeenth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (2-4) in Chalon. Chalon/Saor was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. American forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) notched 32 points (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Taylor Smith (199-91, college: SF Austin) supported him with 14 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 24 points and 8 rebounds by the former international center Ousmane Camara (205-89) did not help to save the game for Chalon/Saor. American guard Lance Harris (195-84, college: Kansas St.) added 14 points and 4 assists. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Antibes and Paris-Levallois. Defending champion Chalon/Saor still closes the standings with six games lost. Gravelines-Dunkerque's next round opponent will be Olympique Antibes (#13) at home. Chalon/Saor will play against the league's leader Le Mans (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
