The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Zwolle as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Zwolle defeated much higher ranked Den Bosch at home 72-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Den Bosch. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 39-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Den Bosch outrebounded Zwolle 44-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. American guard Sherron Dorsey-Walker (193-93, college: Oakland) fired 21 points for the winners. The other American import forward Franko House (198-94, college: Ball St.) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Zwolle players scored in double figures. The former international forward Stefan Wessels (203-84) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American point guard Keshun Sherrill (175-94, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Den Bosch at the other side dropped to the third place with one game lost. They share the position with Groningen and Amsterdam. Den Bosch will play next round against Leeuwarden trying to get back on the winning streak. Zwolle will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Leiden on the road.
