Regular Season Round 4: Treviso Basket - Unieuro Forli 74-68

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Unieuro Forli (2-2) was defeated on the road by thirteenth ranked Treviso Basket (2-2) 74-68 on Sunday. Treviso Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Unieuro Forli's 22. Treviso Basket had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Unieuro Forli was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward John Brown-III (201-92, college: High Point) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Davide Bruttini (203-87, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Riccardo Castelli (200-88, agency: Players Group) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Maltese-American Darryl Jackson (190-85, college: Warner Pacific, agency: Diamond Sports) scored 17 points. Five Treviso Basket and four Unieuro Forli players scored in double figures. Unieuro Forli's coach Giorgio Valli tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Treviso Basket moved-up to seventh place in A2. Treviso Basket will face higher ranked Montegrano (#6) in Montenegrano in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Unieuro Forli will play at home against Roseto Sharks (#16) and hope to win that game.
