Undefeated Vicenza (3-1) recorded its first loss at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by seventh ranked Piacenza (3-1) 65-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Vicenza. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Riccardo Perego (202-81) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and naturalized Argentinian forward Duilio Birindelli (200-84) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Argentinian guard Ariel Svoboda (193-85, agency: Interperformances) responded with 19 points and forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Piacenza moved-up to second place in B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Vicenza. Piacenza will meet at home Faenza (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Vicenza will play against Lecco (#12) and hope to secure a win.
