Regular Season Round 5: Djurgarden - Hogsbo 97-65

Superettan top team - Djurgarden (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Hogsbo (1-4) in Stockholm 97-65. The game without a history. Djurgarden led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Hogsbo's 30. They outrebounded Hogsbo 38-26 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American swingman Langston Morris-Walker (196-94, college: Oregon St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and guard Brandon Barton (192-88, agency: Diamond Sports) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Djurgarden players scored in double figures. Guard Jacob Johansson (195-95) responded with 14 points and the former international power forward Martin Ringstrom (206-81) scored 8 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Djurgarden have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-0 record, which they share with Koping Stars. Hogsbo lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with four games lost. Djurgarden is looking forward to face league's second-placed Koping Stars on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hogsbo will play against LF Future (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
