Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Olginate (2-2) beat on the road bottom-ranked Desio (0-4) 73-67 on Sunday. They outrebounded Desio 44-25 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Power forward Marco Tagliabue (206-86) fired 24 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) for the winners. Power forward Andrea Bassani (198-89) chipped in 6 points and 13 rebounds. Olginate's coach Alessandro Galli used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Dominican guard Daniel Perez (185-97, agency: Interperformances) produced 27 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Carlo Fumagalli (188-96) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Olginate moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Desio still closes the standings with four games lost. Olginate will face Palermo GB (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Desio will play against Reggio Emilia and hopes to get finally their first victory.
