Regular Season Round 2: Aaguacateros - Capitanes 76-71

The biggest surprise of round 2 in LNBP took place in Michoacan where host Aaguacateros (1-1) beat Capitanes (1-1) 76-71 on Sunday evening. Aaguacateros made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Capitanes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Dominican guard Juan Coronado (193-83) who scored 14 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Naturalized American guard Martin Samarco (190-85, college: Bowling Green) chipped in 19 points and 4 steals. Four Aaguacateros players scored in double figures. The former international Hector Hernandez (205-85, college: Fresno St., agency: BeoBasket) produced 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Dominican forward Emmanuel Andujar (198-93, college: Manhattan) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Capitanes' coach Ramon Diaz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Capitanes will play next round against Toros trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Aaguacateros will try to continue on its current victory against Soles in Mexicali.
