Regular Season Round 5: Gomel-Sozh - Gorizont 47-49

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Gomel-Sozh (3-3) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Gorizont (3-1) 49-47. Gomel-Sozh was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 16-12 charge of Gorizont, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 19 Gomel-Sozh turnovers. The best player for the winners was international guard Alena Holubeva (179-94) who scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. International center Hanna Brych (187-97) chipped in 10 points. Guard Tatsiana Tsyruliova (168-88) produced 10 points and 6 assists and center Tatsiana Rebianchuk (186-88) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Gorizont keeps a position of league leader. Gomel-Sozh at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost.
