Regular Season Round 5: Helsingborg - Brahe Basket 127-63

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Brahe Basket (0-4) was rolled over on the road by leader Helsingborg (4-0) 127-63 on Sunday. The game without a history. Helsingborg led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Brahe Basket's 38. Helsingborg forced 34 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 35-20 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Helsingborg looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Brahe Basket's players. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian center Martynas Kuksta (203-89) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds (on 15-of-19 shooting from the field). Forward Casper Silfver (190-95) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals. Five Helsingborg players scored in double figures. Helsingborg's coach Martin Fastberg felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Carl Sundkvist (175-97) produced 19 points and Alexander Johansson (-94) added 9 points respectively for the guests. Helsingborg have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record. Newly promoted Brahe Basket still closes the standings with four games lost. Helsingborg will face Hammarby (#5) in Stockholm in the next round. Brahe Basket will play at home against the league's second-placed Eskilstuna (#2) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
