The most exciting game of round 34 in the NBAL took place in Kampala. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked City Oilers (11-5) to first ranked Pemba Warriors (15-2) 57-54 on Tuesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of City Oilers. Pemba Warriors forced 19 City Oilers turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Michael Buzangu (-82) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Philip Amenyi (-89) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Stephen Omony (198-81) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Ndikumana Landry (-93) added 10 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for City Oilers. City Oilers' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Pemba Warriors have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-2 record. Defending champion City Oilers dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Pemba Warriors will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. City Oilers will play against JKL Dolphins (#8) and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
