Regular Season Round 3: Levski Lukoil - Blokotehna 99-93

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of FYR Macedonian Blokotehna (2-1) in Sofia on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Bulgarian Levski 2014 (2-1) 99-93. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Blokotehna won fourth quarter 23-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 28 personal fouls committed by Blokotehna helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Deyan Karamfilov (180-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Serbian center Nikola Maravic (212-89, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 22 points and 8 rebounds. Levski 2014's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Dwayne Benjamin (201-93, college: Oregon) with 27 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import guard Michael Mallory (185, college: S.Connecticut) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. Five Levski 2014 and four Blokotehna players scored in double figures. Levski 2014 is looking forward to face Bashkimi (#7) in Prizren in the next round. Blokotehna will play on the road against Ibar Rozaje (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
