Regular Season Round 10: Nishinomiya S. - Shimane SM 85-69

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Shimane Magic (4-5) against fourth ranked Nishinomiya S. (3-6) on Wednesday night. Visiting Shimane Magic was defeated by Nishinomiya S. in Hyogo 85-69. Nishinomiya S. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Shimane Magic's 24. Nishinomiya S. forced 20 Shimane Magic turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Connor Lammert (206-94, college: Texas) notched 23 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) to lead the effort and guard Draelon Burns (194-85, college: De Paul) supported him with 19 points. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by center Brendan Lane (206-90, college: Pepperdine) did not help to save the game for Shimane Magic. Center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) added 12 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Shimane Magic's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Nishinomiya S. maintains fourth position with 3-6 record, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Shimane Magic at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the second place with five games lost. Nishinomiya S.'s next round opponent will be Osaka Evessa (#6) on the road. Shimane Magic will play against the league's second-placed Kyoto Hannar. (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
