Regular Season Round 9: Cyberdyne IR - Toyotsu FE 80-65

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tsukuba where 4th placed Toyotsu FE (4-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Cyberdyne IR (4-5) 80-65 on Wednesday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Shohei Kozu (191-87) added 10 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Cyberdyne IR moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Toyotsu FE. Cyberdyne IR will face league's second-placed Fukushima at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toyotsu FE will play against Dragonflies in Hiroshima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
