Regular Season Round 9: Tokyo Z - Shinshu BW 65-78

Rather predictable result when third ranked Shinshu BW (6-3) beat on the road 6th ranked Tokyo Z (3-6) 78-65 on Wednesday. Shinshu BW made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). His fellow American import forward Tim Dezelski (198-90, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Kashiwagura Kashiwagura (180-95) who recorded 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Ruben Boykin (201-85, college: N.Arizona) added 12 points and 16 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Shinshu BW keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Gunma. Loser Tokyo Z dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Shinshu BW will face Iwate Big Bulls (#5) on the road in the next round. Tokyo Z will play against Yamagata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
