An interesting game for Guaros 2 (8-0) which hosted in Barquisimeto their biggest opponent Cangrejeros (6-4). Leader Guaros 2 had an easy win 85-62. Guaros 2 had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for international point guard Heissler Guillent (186-86) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 9 assists. International Nestor Colmenares (203-87, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Guaros 2 players scored in double figures. Jose Rodriguez (197-94) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Carl Elliott (193-83, college: G.Washington) added 16 points in the effort for Cangrejeros. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guaros 2 have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Loser Cangrejeros keep the second position with four games lost. Guaros 2 will face Metropolitanos (#4) in Caracas in the next round. Cangrejeros will play on the road against Aduaneros in Valencia and hope to win that game.
