An interesting game where Romanian Satu Mare (#1) beat host German BC Pharmaserv Marburg (#1) with 17-point difference 71-54 on Wednesday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 40-21 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Satu Mare dominated on the defensive end, holding BC Pharmaserv Marburg to just 6 points in third quarter. American power forward Destiny Williams (185-91, college: Baylor) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian swingman Marina Solopova (182-90) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Satu Mare players scored in double figures. Swingman Finja Schaake (179-92) responded with 15 points and American guard Katlyn Yohn (181-91, college: Bradley) scored 15 points and 4 steals. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
