We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Tucuman where Independiente (0-2) was defeated by Mitre Tuc. (1-2) 78-67 on Thursday. Mitre Tuc. outrebounded Independiente 45-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Independiente's players. It was a great evening for Pablo Osores (194-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Luis Arganaraz (199-85) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American forward Bakari Copeland (198-95, college: Md-E Shore) with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Alejandro Spalla (197-89, agency: DTMones) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Mitre Tuc. will face Hindu in Chaco in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
