Maccabi Ashdod delivered the third consecutive victory on Thursday night. This time they crushed Hap.Petah Tikva (1-2) 78-58. Maccabi Ashdod looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for swingman Tiffany Hayes (177-89, college: Connecticut) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Tiffany Jackson (191-85, college: Texas) helped adding 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Maccabi Ashdod players scored in double figures. Maccabi Ashdod's coach Adan Inbar used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Brittney Sykes (175-94, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and center Shakeya Leary (189-90, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) scored 4 points and 13 rebounds. Maccabi Ashdod will meet at home Elitzur Holon (#4) in the next round. Hap.Petah Tikva will play against Maccabi Raanana and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
