Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Caracas: Comuna (#3) and Atleticos (#6). Comuna (7-5) won against visiting Atleticos (0-12) 83-77. Comuna had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by naturalized Colombian point guard Jorge Leon (188-79) who scored that evening 16 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Anderson Morales (180-92) supported him with 18 points. Even 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by guard Enderso Ramos (185-95) did not help to save the game for Atleticos. Guard Jean Almeida (186-94) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Four Atleticos players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Comuna have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cangrejeros. Atleticos at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Comuna will play against Aduaneros (#4) in Valencia in the next round. Atleticos' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Caracas Metropolitanos.
