Regular Season Round 4: Champville - CS Antonine 103-74
Date: October 27, 2017
There was no surprise in Dik El Mehdi where 7th ranked CS Antonins (1-3) were crushed by top-ranked Champville (4-0) 103-74. The game without a history. Champville led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Champville players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. The winners were led by the former international forward Fadi El-Khatib (198-79) who scored that evening 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and American Justin Hawkins (203-85, college: N.Mexico St.) supported him with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American-Puerto Rican forward Carlos Emory (196-91) did not help to save the game for CS Antonins. American point guard Kevin Burwell (180-89, college: Miss.Valley St.) added 16 points and 10 assists for lost side. Five Champville and four CS Antonins players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Champville have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Riyadi. Newly promoted CS Antonins keep the seventh place with three games lost. Champville's next round opponent will be league's leader Al Riyadi in Beirut and it will be for sure the game of the week. CS Antonins will play on the road against Homenetmen (#4) in Beirut and hope to win that game.
