Regular Season Round 6: Valladolid - Oviedo 91-86

The most important game in the last round took place in Valladolid between third ranked Oviedo CB (4-2) and eighth ranked Blancos de Rueda (3-2) on Friday night. Oviedo CB was defeated by Blancos de Rueda in a tough game on the road 86-91. Oviedo CB trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 31-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 86-91 at the end of the game. Blancos de Rueda made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for center Sergio De-La-Fuente (198-89) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Henri Wade-Chatman (188-92, college: Edinboro) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Blancos de Rueda's coach Inaki Martin Garcia used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Center Oliver Arteaga (208-83) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Victor Perez (195-82) added 19 points in the effort for Oviedo CB. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to sixth place. Oviedo CB at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with Melilla. Blancos de Rueda are looking forward to face league's leader Leche Rio Breogan in Lugo in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Oviedo CB will play at home against CB Prat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
