Regular Season Round 5: Tsmoki-Minsk - Prinemanye 109-60

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Prinemanye (2-3) was crushed on the road by leader Tsmoki-Minsk (5-0) 109-60 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk. Prinemanye managed to win second period 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Prinemanye to just 7 points in third quarter. Tsmoki-Minsk dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Prinemanye's 26. They outrebounded Prinemanye 53-25 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tsmoki-Minsk looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Prinemanye's players. Point guard Ivan Aladko (193-95) stepped up and scored 18 points and 8 assists for the winners and international forward Viktor Ovsepyan (203-91) chipped in 8 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Tsmoki-Minsk players scored in double figures. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach Aleksander Krutikov felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Vladislav Svakel (178-0) responded with 19 points and Ukrainian guard Anatoli Konev (192-92) scored 18 points. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Tsmoki-Minsk. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with COR-Borisfen and Grodno-93. Loser Prinemanye keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Tsmoki II and Impuls BGUIR. Tsmoki-Minsk will again meet at home Prinemanye (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Prinemanye will have a break next round.
